Olympic Champ Anna Haag Invests In Fashion

With their enviable, well-toned bodies top skiers should be icons of style – and more and more are actually becoming just that.

An Olympic Champion Anna Haag has always been one of the most fashionable skiers around. She is also known to promote fashion brands on her social media accounts.

Now a 31 year old Swede is making the next logical step: during her hard preparations for the Olympic Games 2018 in Pyeongchang, Haag have found time (and money) to invest into a boutique called “Tintinstyle & Zmillas” / online fashion store “Tintinstyle” – thus joining forces with Anette Modin, who already has fashion stores in Oestersund, and Emma-Helena Fredriksson, the wife of the last Swedish World Cup winner Mathias Fredriksson.

Anna Haag doesn’t reveal how much she has invested. She does write, however, in her blog, that she was always interested in fashion, and that it gave her more energy. Haag’s primary mission – to make the company grow and to learn new things about the fashion industry.

“I know from my own experience: when you get dressed up, it gives you an energy boost. That’s what I want to convey. Everyone should feel nice inside themselves. We feel like a strong trio of women, who will do this together”, writes Anna Haag.

She adds, that previously it has not been accepted to have side projects. Athletes heard: “You are skier and nothing else”. Now Haag feels happy, because she found an ideal balance between training and hobby. She believes, that her new project could help her better prepare to Olympics.

“Now I have a life outside the skiing, that I enjoy and dare to invest even more. Absolutely more than I did before the Olympics in Sochi. The pieces of puzzle fell into place”, Haag sums up to Swedish Expressen.

Haag announced her new investment in her Instagram: welcomes potential buyers and encourages them to join. In replies she received a support from ex-team fellows Anna Olsson and Sanna Hallberg and team Sweden’s press attaché Katarina Medveczky.

Tintinstyle is currently offering a mix of mid-priced Scandinavian and international labels, with no obvious connection to sport – never mind cross-coutry skiing. Perhaps, Haag, who is known for her style both on and off the track, would introduce more of athletic dimension to the boutique offerings.
