On Saturday the Olympic program in cross country skiing gets underway with the ladies' 7,7/7,5 skiathlon Today we make an effort to show you some of those who will be running in that race. Let's be fair & honest: there's a rather small chance that any of them will make it to the podium or even the flower ceremony after the finish in the skiathlon race. This story needs to be split into two distinct parts: objective facts and subjective observations Here's a brief summary of facts the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) upheld the appeals by Russian skiers and, effectively, reinstated them in international sport. Not all were cleared - but most recognizable names in skiing, including Sochi Olympic champ Alexander Legkov and silver medalis, ex-world champ Max Vylegzhanin are on the list of reinstated.
